Compacts are an essential ingredient to complete your make-up kit. An apt one which suits your skin compliments your look as well as makes you look brighter than your original skin texture. That which suits me and my skin’s likings occupies an undaunting position in my kit and stays for a considerable period of time. Lakme Perfect Radiance Intense Whitening Compact with SPF 23 is my new venture into the field of compacts. Let us have a glimpse on how it fared.

The product comes wrapped in a white case with the terms “Perfect Radiance” and “SPF 23 UVA/UVB Protection” highlighted in red colour. Inside it is fitted with a mirror. The cotton pad applicator is soft enough to glide through the skin without any rough edges.

The product claims to be Oil Free; Light Weight; and Apt for daily usage with the following promises:

The Golden Medium shade is what I am using for my combination skin texture.

Usage Directions:

To be used after cleaning the face and lightly applied using the cotton applicator.

Generally I prefer to use it over sunscreens or moisturizer which gives a matte finish look. In either of the cases, my skin loves wearing it as it goes perfectly well under both.

My Say On Lakme Perfect Radiance Intense Whitening Compact with SPF 23:

The very first thing that I like about this compact is its trait of light-weight. It befriends the skin very easily. I can witness one-shaded visibly fairer me after wearing it. However, the claim that it gives of an oil-free look, is true only for a duration of 2-3 hours. The product is not durable and the skin gets into its original tone as its lasting power gets diminished. However, the fact that it hides the blemishes well after application is what impresses me. So, need touch-ups in every 3 hours for maintaining the blemish-free look. Another added advantage is its SPF which covers the skin against tanning.

The product’s claim on showering a shiny pearl look is quite minimal in actual terms. There is a shine but again it does not last. Nonetheless, the product has worked out pretty well on my skin.
