Just Prepare Your Arsenal With The Following Weapons Required in Your Quest For Lovely Nails:

Nail Polish remover
Cotton balls
Nail Clipper/ Nail Cutter
Nail filer and buffer
Warm water in a bowl
Mild soap/shampoo
Nail Brush
Cuticle cream/cuticle and cuticle pusher
Towel/Tissue Paper
A base coat
Nail Paint of choice

Steps For Easy Manicure Tricks at Home :

1st Step –

Begin with a clean nail. Remove your old nail polish with a good nail polish remover. Even if you are not wearing any, still it is advisable to swipe a cotton ball dabbed in nail polish remover over your nail beds. This will clear off any dirt accumulated in your nail corners.

2nd Step –

Now when you are with a clear nail, the first thing is to trim it proportionately according to your requirement. Give it the desired length and shape you are seeking for. Some might like the oval shape whereas others may like round or a firm square one. If you are a beginner and not sure, it is always advisable to go as per the shape of your nail beds.

3rd Step –

Once you are done with trimming, file them. File from side to side in a slight angular motion rather than filing them in an up-down motion. Be careful not to hurt the skin underneath.

4th Step –

Use a nail buffer to soften the edges and smoother the tips. This will prevent tear-off and unwanted sharpness.

5th Step –

Take a big bowl with warm water. Add a mild soap/shampoo to create foam and soak your hands. Alternatively, you can also use lemon-drops and glycerin. Gently clean your nail-beds with a nail brush or you can use an un-used toothbrush. Wipe off with a towel. Remember not to ‘over do’ the process.

6th Step –

Once the nails are completely dried, use a cuticle cream/oil. Any baby cream or olive oil is an answer to this. Softly massage and use a cuticle-pusher to push the cuticles very gently without hurting it till you can see a fine thin layer underneath. Never cut your cuticles, else you will end up messing. Soak the extra cream/oil with a tissue paper/towel and apply lotion in your hands.

7th Step –

And here comes the most loving part – painting!! Apply a base coat over your nails. This is like putting foundation for your nail-paint. This hardens the base preparing for long-lasting of the nail polish.

8th Step –

After its completely dried up use shade of your choice. Remember to start painting from the edges and slowly painting the entire bed. If you want a richer color, reapply another coat once it is totally dried up. Don’t forget to paint the top edge of the nail for a complete look. If you wish you can also go for a top coat based on your likings – like glitters, shimmers or sparkles.
