Our skin is exposed to the harshness of the external atmosphere and as a result of this, it tends to lose the glow from within if we leave it on its own without any shield. In the pursuit of discovering better nutrients for my cells, I happened to pick up something new this time. Well, it’s new for me but has stood the test of time since 1937. A moisturiser with cocoa butter and shea, Suave Skin Solutions Smoothing Moisturizer.

This moisturizer claims of providing uninterrupted 24 hours of effective moisturization. Sounds good!! But let us explore the real world and try out its worth.

Product Features and Specification:

The moisturizer is packed in a stout plastic bottle with a nozzle at its top which very perfectly controls the flow according to requirement. The colour of the pack is that of the colour of a butter with pictures of shea and cocoa on its front.

Speaking of the moisturizer inside, it too bears the same colour as that of the bottle with a mild fragrance of a mixture of butter and cocoa. The thickness is quite apt with “ok” consistency.

Suave Skin Solutions Smoothing Moisturizer’s Performance on my skin:

The moisturizer is indeed skin-friendly. But its claim of being clinically proven to play on our skin for non-stop 24 hours happens to be a miss. Please note here that my skin-type is normal and still the product sits good only for the initial hours because the skin starts showing white casts and stretchy feeling not more than after 2-3 hours of its application. Even on the unexposed parts as well, viz. back, thighs, etc. the skin calls for reapplication.

Talking about its goodness on the skin, there is nothing extraordinary. It is just like any other moisturizer. However, with no side-effect, the product relieves dryness instantly when applied. But its claims of “texture improvisation” and “unbelievably softer skin” also do not carry any such significance.

Overall, this is a “just ok” type product which you can try if you wish. Though there is nothing exceptional, still you can give it a try if you wish.

Score & Recommendation : Well, my verdict on the moisturizer is 50-50 as it has no good differentiating feature from other moisturizers available in the market. You can just try it for the sake of experimenting. In my case, it fails to impress much and scores a 2.5 / 5.
